We leave Bogotá heading north into the scenic Andean highlands, with our first stop at Colfrance, a classic roadside restaurant perfect for a hearty meal before continuing the ride. From there, we cruise toward the colorful artisan town of Ráquira, where a short walk through its vibrant streets offers a lively cultural break. After lunch in Sutamarchán, we ride on to Villa de Leyva, one of Colombia’s most beautiful colonial towns, known for its vast cobblestone square and whitewashed houses. Before checking in, we visit the extraordinary Casa Terracota, a surreal clay house considered the largest piece of pottery in the world. In the afternoon, we enjoy a guided visit and wine tasting at a nearby high-altitude vineyard, then return to Villa de Leyva for an evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Villa de Leyva.

After breakfast, we ride out to the striking Pozos Azules, a collection of turquoise-colored ponds set in a semi-desert landscape just outside Villa de Leyva — a favorite spot for photographers and nature lovers. Next, we continue to the historic Ecce Homo Monastery, a 17th-century Dominican convent known for its cobblestone cloisters, colonial art, and peaceful countryside surroundings. Our final stop before returning to Bogotá is the iconic Puente de Boyacá, where Colombia’s independence was secured in 1819. The curvy Andean roads on this stretch offer one last thrill for riders before reaching the capital in the late afternoon.
